Bright Eyes sells out
I tried to get tickets to see Bright Eyes at London Koko this morning but they sold out in a few minutes. The worst thing was I thought I'd got them and just as she put the transaction through she said they'd all gone. Gutted.
Other interesting news, Broken Social Scene have done the musical score for a new film
The Tracey Fragments
Opening scene :
15-year-old Tracey Berkowitz is naked under a shower curtain at the back of a bus, looking for her little brother Sonny, who thinks he's a dog.
sounds intersting!
(Patrick Wolf pictures up later)

Birthday Bash
So I'm twenty in a month...must start thinking about how I can celebrate leaving my wonderous teenage years. David Vandervelde a Chicago-based singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist is playing the Thekla on said birthday and so I thought I should listen to more of his stuff and thus decide whether he could help me celebrate.

The Long Winters and Willy
Saiman I would highly recommend you go see the Long Winters on Feb 13th at Bar Academy.(Sadly they are not visiting Bristol.)
The Long Winters - Pushover
More tour news, Willy Mason's coming back to UK in May. With a load of new tunes from If The Ocean Gets Rough.

Also has anyone seen this on Willy's website? God I wish I had a house, or knew someone who invited him to play!

SUBJECT: House Concert Tour Application
To Whom It May Concern:
I, Willy Mason, will be putting together a house party
concert tour of the UK (& Ireland) in late January / February.
This letter is a formal request to all interested in hosting
such a show to submit their offer for consideration. All that
is required for a house to be considered is ... electricity.
Another asset to your submission would be the likelihood of a
small and friendly audience.
To make a submission, please write to tour.destination@gmail.com
and include address of house/garage/dorm room/etc., along with
your name and phone number and any further information regarding your request.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Willy Mason
